The right business.
Verify the ABN, contracting entity, relevant licences and insurance. Check who sells the system and who carries out the work. Ask about business history, service regions and subcontracting.
The right people and products.
Check the actual designer and installer’s SAA credentials and the relevant electrical licences. Confirm the exact equipment against applicable approved-product lists. NETCC status is an additional check, not a replacement for these requirements.
Evidence of careful work.
Review recent installation records, commissioning documentation, site photos and customer follow-up evidence with appropriate consent. Product approval alone does not establish installation quality.
Clear quotes and real aftercare.
Require complete pricing, a written variation process, clear warranty contacts and a procedure for resolving faults or damage. Ask how service continues if a staff member or subcontractor leaves.
Keep checking.
The proposed review process includes expiry tracking, periodic rechecks and pausing introductions when a serious issue arises. We will not publish invented ratings, partner counts or reviews.
FROM A CLAIM TO SOMETHING YOU CAN CHECK
What we plan to check.
What you should be able to see.
These are admission requirements for the network we are establishing. No company is presented here as having passed them yet.
| Area | Evidence to review | Your record |
|---|---|---|
| The contracting business | ABN and legal entity, relevant contractor licence, insurance currency, business and complaint history. | The legal name on your contract, licence details and a dated summary of our checks. |
| The people doing the work | Appropriate electrical licence and SAA accreditation for the work; who installs, supervises and handles subcontractors. | Named responsible people and credentials to verify before work starts. |
| The proposed system | Exact equipment, applicable product approvals, design assumptions, location and network requirements. | A written design, model numbers, capacity, exclusions and any approval conditions. |
| The delivered work | Evidence from recent jobs, customer references with permission, handover records and how defects were resolved. | The agreed installation scope and a checklist of your own handover documents. |
| The support behind it | Workmanship terms, manufacturer claim process, service contact, labour and travel costs, and escalation arrangements. | A named service contact and written responsibilities, including any exclusions. |
Our planned process requires renewed evidence when credentials expire or the business, installer or service arrangements change. Missing required evidence or an unresolved serious issue would pause new introductions while reviewed.
